Residential communal TV set up and system

There are many ways of receiving a digital television signal and each block of flats will have its own communal set up.

Below are some images of the main type of connections available in flats. Please take a look to see if you can locate yours and for further information on the services available in your block you can either contact us on 01892 722 887 or click the blue links below.

If your flat has this type of socket, you can receive the standard Freeview signal and a radio signal.

If you can see this socket in your flat your block may have an Optional Rental System for satellite services such as Sky and Eutelsat 13° East.

To check if this is the case for your block please contact us on 01892 722 887.

If your flat has this type of socket, your block has either a communal TV and satellite system (IRS) or an Optional Rental System.

You will need to contact our Sales and Customer Service team to find out which system is in place at your block.

If you are an existing Sky customer with a communal TV and satellite system (IRS) all you need to do is connect an F connector to F connector fly lead to the SAT point in order to receive the Sky signal.

PLEASE NOTE: for existing Sky customers with a Sky +HD box, you may need to change the settings in your box to ensure the Sky signal comes through.  Please see our FAQs for SINGLE FEED MODE instructions.

If you are a new Sky customer please contact us on 01892 722 887 to order your Sky package. This socket will also allow you to receive Freeview, Freesat and Radio signals.  It may also provide access to a range of non-English channels.  Please contact us for further details.

If your flat has this type of socket, your block has a communal TV and satellite system (IRS).

This plate allows you to use the full range of recording services available from a Sky +HD box.

If you are an existing Sky customer all you need to do is connect two F connector to F connector fly leads to the SAT points in order to receive the Sky signals.

If you are a new Sky customer please contact us on 01892 722 887 to order your Sky package.

This socket will also allow you to receive Freeview, Freesat and Radio signals.  It may also provide access to a range of non-English channels.  Please contact us for further details.

If your flat has this type of connection or one similar, then your flat has previously been connected for cable TV i.e. Virgin.

This does not mean that you will be unable to receive a signal for a satellite or TV service but in order to clarify what type of services your block has available, please contact us on 01892 722 887.
